Bulldog Prep
Bulldog Prep
A lot of folks have asked about preparation for Bulldog. For many - this will be their first OLCMSS event. I wanted to address some of the basics:
Uniform. Whatever side you choose - make sure you thoroughly understand the uniform restrictions. There are no exceptions - the uniforms are a vital part of the game integrity. If your questions begins with, "Can I wear...?" You are probably off the mark. Make sure you have enough uniforms for the whole weekend.
Weapons. You are going to want AEG back-ups - its suggested 2 weapons using the same magazine. Spare batteries are a must. A spare secondary - now you are gearing up like a pro.
Safety. The most important detail. Make sure you have proper eye protection. Full Seal (ANZI rated) is the only thing acceptable. Durable, military grade boots will save your feet and ankles. Last - hydration. September is still hot as hell in Texas. Prehydrate, bring plenty of water, bring extra to help someone else, and make sure your hydration is topped off every time you hit the field.
More to come as more questions come up. If you have somgthing post it up. If I don't have an answer - I will chase it down.

Re: Bulldog Prep
What are the limits for Support weapons (SAWS, M60s, etc.), and shoulder mounted rocket lauchers in each squad?
Re: Bulldog Prep
Per Core rule set :
"3-2.1 Squads consisting of generally 12 players will be composed of rifleman, one (1) SAW Gunner, and one (1) Heavy Weapon specialist. "

Re: Bulldog Prep
Roger. Will OP Bulldog follow the standard OLCMSS Core ruleset completely or will there be changes? And if so what will those changes be exactly?
I've seen the basic rules on the Event Enlist page but we are looking at more specific rules. I can get you a list of the specific rules we have questions on, but if they are all the same as the core ruleset then that would be easier.
Thanks

Spooky
Just got the word on this, 1 SAW per squad. Adjust our Platoon's task organization accordingly.

Re: Bulldog Prep
I will be driving in from Beaumont TX, if any one on the way is interested in car pulling just let me know. Also my brother would like to know if RV's are permitted at the camp site.

Check with your squad leader.Hilt wrote:How does one go about requesting a specialist spot on their squad? I have an M79 thats itching for some use.
Its not about how many people I have killed, it is about how I get along with people that are still alive.
Re: Bulldog Prep
Never mind about the RV, got a hotel room in Gatesville. I will need to request a POV pass.

Re: Bulldog Prep
Since this is going to be my first lion claws event I'm wondering where to acquire a Parking/camping pass? Also, are there places for people to shower at the end of the days? And lastly, food? is that something that is provided or are we allowed to cook onsite? I was also trying to sign as our teams squad leader but the links if found don't work, is this something that I put in the notes when I register? Any help would be appreciated.
Re: Bulldog Prep
What's the rule on Heavy Weapons Class, I have a self made LAW launcher that uses a 12g Co2 cartridges and Nerf Rockets? Who do I clear with?

You will need to contact Game Control for POV passes.hooker wrote:Since this is going to be my first lion claws event I'm wondering where to acquire a Parking/camping pass?
Unless you brought an RV or are staying at a hotel, there are no showers available at the campground (TA50).hooker wrote:Also, are there places for people to shower at the end of the days?
Food is available for purchase from the USMC at TA50. Game Control will confirm if we can have open fires for cooking at TA50.hooker wrote:And lastly, food? is that something that is provided or are we allowed to cook onsite?
If you are trying to register your team as a squad, you need to send a separate email to John Lu with names of your team members, which side your squad is registering on, and who will be the squad leader.hooker wrote:I was also trying to sign as our teams squad leader but the links if found don't work, is this something that I put in the notes when I register?
Hope that helps.
